Technical Characteristics
The thulium laser is an infrared laser and the main target tissue for skin absorption is water. Since the water content of the dermis is higher than that of the epidermis, the accumulation of heat and temperature rise in the dermis is higher than that in the epidermis during thulium laser treatment. Since the water content of epidermis is smaller, it will not be damaged by intense heating and cause edema and injury in the heating process. The skin will only be slightly reddened, with a certain sense of heat and pain, but it will not sting, burn or even be damaged.
1927 nm thulium laser mode is characterized by the use of a fractional handle to focus the laser onto a small spot (approximately 0.1-0.15mm in diameter) to irradiate the skin, achieving a non-ablative or micro-ablative effect, mainly for skin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction. If the laser is applied for a long enough time, a micro-ablative effect is produced. If the duration of action and energy density are reduced, a thermal coagulation vertical band may be produced, which activates collagen and shrinks the skin.
After the treatment, the skin experiences a series of lasting effects. First, the moisture in the epidermis heats up, causing some proteins to micro-coagulate. This simultaneously causes melanin to be damaged by the heat and then gradually discharged from the surface of the body, where it is phagocytosed and metabolized by the body's macrophages. Second, because it penetrates deep into the dermis and slightly stimulates the dermal papillary layer, it not only accelerates collagen synthesis, but also stimulates division.
The 1927nm laser, which primarily uses thermal coagulation instead of stripping and vaporization, is a safer infrared laser.
Application

Acne Treatment Treatment of static wrinkles: the core principle is to stimulate the proliferation of collagen fibers in the dermis, restructuring the fiber structure and flattening the sunken wrinkles, thus achieving the purpose of wrinkle removal.
Treatment of enlarged pores: Through the action of non-peeling fractional thulium laser, skin renewal and metabolism can be stimulated, slight peeling and sebaceous gland secretion can be suppressed. Therefore, after adhering to regular treatment, pores and sebaceous gland secretion will be contracted and suppressed to a certain extent, and the skin will become more and more delicate and smooth.
(2) Improve uneven Skin Tone: Reduce pigmentation, sunspots and melasma, make skin tone more even and brighter.
The principle of thulium laser treatment in treating dominant vascular melasma is to protect the dermis and avoid irritation. Thulium laser penetrates deeply enough to protect the dermis and reduce the inflammatory reaction, thus reducing hyperpigmentation.
(3) Treats acne scars: anti-inflammatory, promotes skin regeneration and improves the appearance of acne scars.
The core principle of thulium laser treatment for skin inflammation is that the high temperature of the laser kills some disease-causing bacteria in the skin, and at the same time promotes blood circulation, improves skin metabolism, and achieves sterilization and anti-inflammatory effects.
(4) Firming and lifting skin: anti-aging, stimulates collagen regeneration for firmer, more elastic skin.
Cautions
(1) It is strictly forbidden to irradiate the laser anywhere except the treatment area and the target surface for adjusting the light. Never look directly at the laser beam emitted from the end of the handle or any reflected beam.
(2) Treatment parameters should be adjusted according to the actual situation of the customer, and the energy should be adjusted from low. People who want can be treated in the form of local anesthesia. This situation depends entirely on the client's opinion and ability to tolerate pain.
(3) It is recommended to come without makeup before thulium Laser procedure. Creams containing glycolic acid should not be used at least 2 weeks before the procedure and skin peeling procedures such as scratching, and peeling should not be done.
(4) During convalescence, mild skin swelling and redness may occur. Minor erythema and skin unevenness may remain on the skin for up to one week after the treatment.
(5) The treated area should not be rubbed and worn. Do not touch the area with your hands immediately after treatment to prevent bacterial infection; use topical or no antimicrobial ointment on the treated wound according to medical advice to prevent bacterial infection.
(6) The treated area should not be exposed to water for 24 hours after treatment and the skin should not be exposed to sunlight for the next 1 month, high-factor sunscreen creams should be used.
(7) The point shells that may form on the treatment area should not be peeled and it should be expected to spill automatically. The creams recommended must be used for the indicated periods.
(8) Makeup should not be done for 1 week after treatment and the skin should not be washed with very hot water.
